چکیده
Amphiphilic molecules spontaneously adsorb to fluid polar-nonpolar interfaces. The timescale of such adsorption depends on the molecular size and structure solute. This process should be accompanied by a power heat exchange that could detected commercial isothermal calorimeters. Air is injected in bulk different aqueous solutions contained sample cell an titration calorimeter. formation resulting bubbles leads liquid/air interface which solute adsorb. Continuous injection experiments produce multiple as well with static stand from capillary tip, aiming observe slow processes, were performed. associated formation, growth release air liquids was measured. Different independent contributions can pressure change gas phase, evaporation-condensation solvent, increase interfacial area, capacity content, bubble observed. periodic pattern produced continuous at constant rate used determine surface tension liquids, including (bio)macromolecules.

Persistent interface fluid syndrome.
We present an unusual case of persistent interface fluid that would not resolve despite normal intraocular pressure and corneal endothelial replacement with Descemet-stripping endothelial keratoplasty. Dissection, elevation, and repositioning of the laser in situ keratomileusis flap were required to resolve the interface fluid. Circumferential corneal graft-host margin scar formation acting as ...
متن کاملMoment-of-fluid interface reconstruction
We designed a new volume-conservative interface reconstruction method. An input data set for the interface reconstruction algorithm consists of volumes and centroids of the cell fractions occupied by different materials. Compared to pure volume fractions, traditionally used by volume-of-fluid (VoF) methods, this choice of the input data allows to define a linear interface approximation per mixe...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of continuum models for fluid-fluid interface dynamics
This paper is concerned with numerical methods for twophase incompressible flows assuming a sharp interface model for interfacial stresses. Standard continuum models for the fluid dynamics in the bulk phases, for mass transport of a solute between the phases and for surfactant transport on the interface are given. We review some recently developed finite element methods for the appropriate disc...
متن کاملA Fluid Interface for Personal Digital Libraries
An advanced interface is presented for fluid interaction in a personal digital library system. The system employs a zoomable planar representation of a collection using hybrid continuous/quantum treemap visualizations to facilitate navigation while minimizing cognitive load. The system is particularly well suited to user tasks which, in the physical world, are normally carried out by laying out...
